Key dates

• 28th April 2008: Parish Council made a recommendation to Lichfield District Council to reject the current proposal from the Curborough Consortium.
  
  
• May 2008: Lichfield District Council Planning meeting – to discuss Curborough Consortiums current proposals.
  
  
• 10th May 2008: FACT group met with local MP Michael Fabricant
  
  
• 26th May 2008: Bower Festival, Lichfield: FACT has a stall in Market Square for making the public in Lichfield and surrounding areas aware of the impact on them and their surroundings.
  
  
• June 2008: The District Council will be responding to the government consultation and any subsequent consultation. It is likely that a report will be prepared for consideration by the Environment and Development (Overview and Scrutiny) Committee and Executive in June, to enable a response to go back to the government before the deadline (30th June 2008).
  
  
• 7th June 2008: FACT to hold a protest march in Lichfield at 1200 midday. Commencing in Gresley Row (rear of Bald Buck pub) and finishing in Market Square where MP Michael Fabricant will address the residents of Lichfield .
  
  
• 30th June 2008: DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS TO THE GOVERNMENT ON THE ECO TOWNS PROGRAMME.
  
  
• July 2008: There will be published for consultation, sustainability appraisals of candidate locations, draft national policy statement on Eco Towns and refined list of potential locations.
